Maitland-Niles completes loan move to AS Roma
Arsenal’s midfielder, Maitland-Niles has joined AS Roma on loan until the end of the season in search of first-team football.
Roma confirmed the news on its official website on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. The England International tried to force a move away from the club during the summer transfer window but he was not allowed away from the club.
The player expressed his delight on the club’s website, appreciating the efforts that were put in to ensure the deal pulls through.
‘I am delighted to be here and I can not wait to crack on. I want to help the team and show what I can do as a player. Thank you to the fans for the support they have already shown me. I hope we can do something great by the end of the season.
Maitland-Niles has failed to get himself consistent games at the Emirates. The decision to join Roma means he will be going out on loan for two consecutive seasons.
